Down Memory Lane w Dainty Blue

Welcome to my end of August Tuesday Tea, wow this month has gone fast. Summer is soon over. Stores are full of Halloween items and our Christmas wish book is out.
We are having tea on the verandah today as the grass is wet, we finally got some rain and everything is so gorgeous looking.

So come in and sit down

Had a friend show up on Saturday out of the blue with these flowers,

very sweet...

New teapot "Memory Lane" by Royal Albert, so delicate and dainty, thus these teacups

"Dainty Blue" by Shelley I have quite a few of these and just love them they really are dainty.

Just a cute little teaspoon set, I have used them a lot in the past but never showed the cute little box they come in.

below is a two tiered dish, with a little stand on the bottom,

a little different than most.

My partner in crime this morning, grandsons new puppy "Whitney", she's eyeing up the cookies

Pretty strong looking tea isn't it? Having coffee and drinking the cookies- shame, but they are so good.

Going to close with a couple of blooms, this is a hydrangea bush, but I don't think that can be the right name, they are huge...after the rain yesterday the blooms have all fallen

And again my roses, wouldn't show you the leaves, but finally roses have bloomed

Tuesday Tea

What a beautiful weekend and today is a continuation of it. Welcome to my Tuesday Tea, come along with me and we will have it on the deck. I think we'll use my new white ascp tea wagon. Love the tray on it. Going to sell this in my shop, but really don't want to sell the tray.
First as we walk by the garden check out my garden art, flower made out of bridal wreath china. A couple of weeks ago I got a huge amount of this pattern at the auction, for sure young people sure don't want it, but it is so pretty, in fact the older ladies don't want it either .

gee I just drew a blank, I do that a lot, but this pattern is Bridal Wreath, will have to check
and make sure. Without the purple flower the pattern is Bridal Rose,which I have tried
to buy for 43 years, no one wants that pattern either. So I'm sure that is what this is-Bridal
Wreath.

It looks so pretty with Serena, will show that at a later date. Back to sour walk- here is the garden Art, my floral wreath flower. Plates have small chips in them, couldn't bring myself to use good ones of this pattern.

Come and sit down and have a cup of tea,

these are also two new tea cups, both are Royal Albert

I also painted the screen in the background, looks so much better with the white than the wood.

this tea pot is new, from auction where else? it is Royal Cotswold, and it was cheap, tea
we are sharing is Peppermint tea and some macaroons? is that what you call them?
they are delicious. Also, so excited have a rose, I thought I lost all my roses to those
little squirmy looking green worms, then low and behold have buds.

this teapot is just as pretty with the fluted gold edge and the trim inside

I almost forgot Anne, how could I do that, thought of her all morning, so

ran upstairs and got my collection.

I had read some of these books when I was a young girl, then last year I bought
this set and read four of them. Reading them as an adult is different than years ago.

ah my rose, this is a pale pink and soft yellow, I told you I was excited about it, well

Iam, I guess it doesn't take a lot, but can't wait until morning to check out the buds and

make sure their isn't anything green eating the leaves. God bless everyone and have a

My ASCP Tea Wagon

Welcome to my tea, haven't been on for awhile, although I have been checking everyone out. Been busy painting furniture and not sure what, just busy. We have had a beautiful weekend- a little on the cold side but great for working in the yard.
A couple of weeks ago we attended a yard sale and I bought a tray for a tea wagon

Cost me seven dollars, took it home and took the glass off and painted it a soft pink - I think Antoinette, ASCP great for my tea wagon I bought last year.
When I got the tea wagon home one of the large wheels was broken. On ebay I could buy wheels for 75.00 but not worth it, so I had hubby cut the uneven legs ( for the wheels) same as the other two.

I used ASCP old white, this is my before picture, I forgot to take them.
Got it finished and going to have a little tea

Cups and saucers are Shelley, as is the cream n sugar.

Having the tea in my work shop, which is an old school house, raining out, so makes a perfect spot

the two little dishes are Bridal Wreath, I got a huge stack at auction last week, it's a pattern that isn't that popular anymore, now saying that most dishes aren't popular at all. Things have changed in the auction business.

Teapot is New Country Roses by Royal Albert, love it, especially the soft pink to match my tray.

Did a little distressing but not really a lot, to me a tea wagon is a luxury and would be
really looked after and only used on special teas, so would be in good shape. But then saying that it should be used all the time so maybe it would be well worn, oh well didnt do it, couldn't bring myself to. It just didnt call for it.
