Tuesday tea

Welcome to my Tuesday tea, it's so dreary outside, what we need is a cup of chai tea to pick us up... Itsy bitty teenie weenie yellow bikini is playing in the background. Not related to tea, but find myself typing to the beat. Back to the tea. I don't have any autumn dishes so my chapel hill is the closest I can get. I started these dishes when I was fourteen (a long time ago-might be considered antiques). I was led to get as much white on the plate as I could-food looks better and I am thankful for that advice.

Iam still working with my iPad.  Trying to get this down pat for Ireland and england. I find the pad won't move down  properly on the page when I add pictures. So bear with me...

This is my china set that my mother started me on and I have added too through the years.  Chapel 

hill by Royal Worcester. Silver edge -fluted with a jade and blue leaves. Still love it after all these years-even though jade isn't a favorite color. Also after 42 years of selling china and cups and saucers weekly we have never sold a piece of it. Doesn't say much for my taste. Still love my roses china-

sometimes we need quiet in our life, these dishes do that for me...

This teapot holds a lot of tea. Good size for company. 

 

 

Wll I had to revert back to the computer, don't know, if I do the blog while I'm away, I will have to do two pictures at a time and not sure how to add the links. I will persevere, has to be simple? But then I can't pick up a button from other bloggers, so maybe not.  Have a good week....

Pink Saturday

Well I'm back going to try on my ipad again. Have to have all the kinks out before we get to Ireland and England. Read different blogs and so many are happy that fall is coming   I'm not although love the fall weather, this summer was just glorious. Loved loved it. We went out to our deck every morning and came back inside at dark. This has been my first couple of days that I have had to sit inside. ( I did come in and vacuum,but sometimes I did it late at night).  We didn't want to miss a second of the weather. Also, we have a great wrap around deck...
Well I did a walk around yesterday and took pictures of all my pinks. Sad so sad.

that's my walk around with the end of the pink flowers, raining today, so might get a little longer out of them. But feeling like autumn, so that pink charm fades

Tea time Tuesday

Had a great tea yesterday, with Serena. Fudge from our local fair and butter tart. Got a new iPad so took pictures of the tea with it. In the meantime I had downloaded pictures from my computer to this new iPad - not realizing how many I had 9205 in all. They go back to 2000 and covered weekly auctions that I had taken pictures for the website. As well as weekly grandkid pictures. So here I was with all these pictures on Facebook, no big deal I would just erase what I didn't want-NOPE- NOT-ipad3 doesn't allow deleting of pictures if they have been synced from your computer. I was sick 3/4 of my space taken up with silly pictures that I didn't want...like teapots and cups n saucers.  So I stewed and stewed about it all day and decided to restore the iPad back to what it was on Sat. when I bought it-so lost my pictures. But I do have some today - minus the tea.



Now I put this on with my Ipad and I can't get the pictures off it. Doesn't open. So I'm typing now on my computer, but the pictures aren't here. Sorry will get this figured out.
We are going to Ireland and England the first of October, so I got this Ipad so I didn't have to carry a heavy computer and could keep up with my blog and plan on visiting tea rooms over there.

I am using the two different Serena's again, I can't decide which one I like the best, the roses on the outside of the teacup or inside.  

I managed to have these pictures taken with my phone,   before I went outside to the garden, but that's it for the pictures.  It was a good tea and the fudge was great. Our weather is simply wonderful, today was so comfortable, the next two days are to be hot, which will be great...
